**Thank you all for making me feel so loved and spoiled this last week with all the thoughtful, and amazing treats and gifts! The gift of being able to teach your children is the best gift, but it is always nice to feel pampered! You all are too kind for words, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been able to work with you and your kiddos this year!
**Our week was a great one, and I hope you were able to come and watch your budding actors in their musical performance! They rocked it! I was bursting with pride the entire time! I may be a little biased, but I think we were the most talented class up there!
**This week we will be taking the SBAC (Smarter Balanced) tests this week Monday-Thursday, from 8:30-10:30. Please have your kids to school on time, and well rested with full bellies, so that they can do their best. Remind them to take their time on the tests, and just do their very best! It's all about just showing what they know, and trying to figure out how to solve the "puzzles" or what the question is asking them. We will be taking the rest of the days pretty easy, as the testing is pretty taxing. We'll be playing with some Geometry in math, and working on science, and catching on some Scholastic News.
**No spelling this week to give our brains a break!
**Field Day is Friday morning, so be sure to slather your kiddo in sunscreen before they head out the door, and make sure they are wearing comfy clothes for running around and sneakers/tennis shoes so their feet are protected!
**Thank you again for all the love this week! You know I love your kids, and I have really loved being their teacher this year. I found out this week that I am being moved to Ponderosa this next year to teach 3rd grade, and I wanted you all to hear it from me first! I told your kiddos I was moving to a different school, but I didn't know where or what grade level. I received official word this last week on Thursday. I want to again sincerely thank you for making this an amazing year! I can't believe it has flown by so quickly!
**This is going to be a great week! I hope all you mamas had a great Mother's Day!
